Litigations in France and abroad
The most prudent legal advice is usually to avoid litigation and it is correct to say that rapid settlements of disputes are often preferable to lengthy trials.
However, litigation can be sometimes the only alternative to preserve the client’s goals. We may acknowledge that it often represents a spur to action in the particularly difficult field of commercial and financial negotiations.
The partners in the firm have a solid experience in litigation and we view that as a crucial element in better advising on non-litigious matters.
We do not limit ourselves to pursuing or defending claims, by court orders or deals. Our objective is to provide a commercially based service which matches the client’s strategy. Litigation can be a crucial tool in such economic and commercial strategy, in particular to keep or initiate confidential negotiations concurrently with proceedings.
Arbitration in France and abroad
The high standards under which we approach litigation are also applied to arbitration. We believe that it has its own specificity as an alternative resolution of disputes.
The firm has acted in complex trials and international arbitrations in both ad hoc and institutional proceedings and particularly in the following areas :
- international construction projects,
- international sale of goods,
- distributorship contracts,
- licensing agreements.
We typically serve as a party representative.
